老人活动
Milton老人俱乐部室内活动已经结束。夏日公园聚会从5月的第一个星期四开始，9：30 –12:00，地点在以下三个公园： 1. Bristol
Park (在Thompson 路上Clark以南，Metro超市的马路对面） 2. McDougall Park（在Mcdougall 路上，Scott以西） 3. Beaty TrailPark
( Savoline 以东，Derry Rd 以北）
老人俱乐部室内活动将从10月份重新开始。因为活动由Halton多元文化中心赞助，所以必须遵守他们的要求：每一次活动有一名懂英文的义工参加，以防突发事故的发生，另外也为老年朋友们提供学英语等服务。感谢李艳，陈利梅，李亚和等义工朋友们多年以来默默的无私奉献！在这里呼吁更多的朋友参与到义工队伍中，为我们的可亲可敬的父母亲们尽一份微薄之力！
Milton少儿中国文化艺术团（Milton Children Chinese Arts Club） MCCAC（简称）是由多位热爱中国文化艺术的家长和义工共同发起和创建的非盈利性质社区团体。其宗旨是在Milton的少年儿童群体中，弘扬和传播中国传统艺术和文化。MCCAC目前的兴趣组有如下几个：民族舞蹈，合唱团，乐队，武术，杂技，国画和毛笔字及剪纸。通过为孩子们提供轻松和友好的学习环境，让孩子广泛接触和了解中国传统文艺，提高孩子们在中国传统文艺方面的技能和修养，鼓励和组织孩子们参加各类社区活动和公益表演，发扬和传播中国文化，并借此机会增加各个不同族裔之间的交流和合作。
目前，大约有十几位义工朋友在积极筹划少儿艺术团的各项工作。MCCAC未来的运营也将完全由义工推举的代表来负责管理。为了我们的下一代，呼吁更多的义工朋友参与到我们的筹备队伍中来！

2012 Chinese New Year Gala
The 2012 Chinese New Year Gala at the Milton Centre for the Arts turned out to be another big success. Over 100 individuals from MCA families, ranging from 3 to 80 years of age, came on stage to perform Chinese martial arts, singing, dancing, instrumental music, acrobatics and other traditional Chinese performances. Thank you for your great performances! We would also like to thank all of the sponsors for your continuous support, and our volunteers for your dedicated work on stage and back stage!

Senior Group Update
Seniors Club finished indoor activities, and will switch to the summer schedule starting May 3, 2012 (Thursday). The seniors will be meeting at the following three parks every Thursday morning, from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm.
Indoor activities will resume in October and continue to be supported by Halton Multicultural Council. As part of the requirement by HMC, at least one volunteer who speaks English must be present during activity hours in case of emergency. At the same time, the volunteer can teach our seniors some simple day-to-day English.
Many thanks to our volunteers Li Yan, Chen Limei and Li Yahe for being there to help out all these years! We need more volunteers to join the effort to support our Senior Group’s activities.
Milton Children Chinese Arts Club (MCCAC)
Milton Children Chinese Arts Club (MCCAC) is an organization founded and operated by a group of volunteers devoted their times to promote Chinese traditional performance and visual arts among children in Milton.
MCCAC offers a variety of Chinese traditional arts programs, including folk dance, vocal music, instrumental music, martial art, acrobatics, painting, calligraphy and paper cutting.
The mission and objective of MCCAC is to:
MCCAC is not profit driven, and will be operated by executive members elected by volunteers. Currently, we have a group of about 15 volunteers comprised of artists and parents. More details about MCCAC will be announced in the coming weeks. At the same time, we are inviting parents and artists from our community to join our volunteer team in support of this initiative.
